Melkodige estate, located in Chikmagalur (karnataka) at an altitude of 4000 feet is home to some of the finest coffees in the country.The farmer couple - Aveen and Yogitha nurture a diverse range of species of coffee plants and have built infrastructure for processing and fermentation that serves as a sort of a benchmark in this region. The estate itself, heavily wooded, is home to over 9000 plant species, 500 bird species and 139 animal species.
